Hey Jammers! I know this is a late post but I also saw on the news on 6/11/11 that someone who my sister went to high school with got killed in downtown Hood River, Oregon. It was his graduation day on 6/10/11 when it was a while after school he was skateboarding downtown with friends (I think) and he was about to get back on the sidewalk because a truck was coming and he tripped in the road and he got ran over by a SEMI-TRUCK!
He got crushed and he died at the age of 18 and when it was time for graduation someone had his skateboard with a picture of him on it and he put it by the podium and people came up and put flowers by it. So each month on the first Friday the people do something called "First Friday" and my mom took us there and we down by where he got ran over and he had Alvin and the Chipmunk plushies by the light post where he died and writing on the street light and there was even a broken skateboard with writing on it but it wasn't the one he was using before the accident. And his name is Forest Andrews. There's another reminder. Jam on!!
That's sad, he didn't do anything wrong. And it was too young to get hit.
